Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for using Tam and its activity, territory, social, and challenge features.
Last updated August 30, 2026
Using Tam
You may use Tam only in compliance with applicable law and these terms. You are responsible for the device, account, permissions, and network connection needed to use the service. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Activities, imports, and territory
Tam uses recorded GPS and device activity data to calculate distance, movement, route shape, activity metrics, personal records, territory claims, expansions, and steals. Results are game results and fitness summaries, not surveying, navigation, emergency, medical, or legal advice.
You may optionally import completed workouts from Apple Health or Health Connect. Imported workouts are subject to duplicate detection, activity matching, source availability, and validation. Only workouts recorded after connecting the service, or within the limited 24-hour onboarding window, may receive territory credit. Activities under 200m can remain in your history, but are marked Too short and are not sent through territory validation.
Claims are subject to validation, quality checks, territory ownership rules, and later corrections. We may reject, adjust, or remove activity results that are inaccurate, manipulated, incomplete, duplicated, or otherwise inconsistent with the service rules. Territory, XP, badges, personal records, leaderboard positions, and streaks are not guaranteed to remain unchanged.
Social content
You are responsible for content you publish, including captions, photos, videos, profile information, and activity summaries. Do not publish content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, invasive of another person’s privacy, or infringing of someone else’s rights. Only share media you have permission to use.
You grant Tam the limited permission needed to host, display, process, and distribute content you choose to publish through the service. You keep ownership of your content. You can remove published content where the app provides that control, though copies or cached versions may take time to disappear.
Permissions and safety
Location and motion permissions are optional, but declining them can prevent accurate recording or reduce available metrics. Use good judgment when walking, running, or cycling. Do not use Tam while driving, crossing roads unsafely, trespassing, or entering dangerous areas. You are responsible for your safety and for respecting property and local rules.
Zombie Mode and challenges
Zombie Mode, challenges, streaks, badges, XP, and leaderboards are optional game features. Zombie Mode is a motivational overlay; being caught does not stop or invalidate an activity by itself. We may change, pause, rebalance, or retire game features as Tam evolves.
Availability and changes
Tam may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable for maintenance, provider outages, device limitations, or other reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted service, perfect GPS accuracy, continuous background operation, or a particular territory or leaderboard outcome.
We may update these terms and the service. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree, stop using Tam and request account deletion through Settings.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access when necessary to protect users, the service, or the integrity of the game, including for abuse, fraud, manipulation, harassment, or breach of these terms. You may stop using Tam at any time and request deletion through the app.
Disclaimers and liability
Tam is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Tam disclaims warranties about availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
