Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using Tam, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Tam. You must be at least 13 and legally able to enter this agreement. If the law where you live requires a higher age or parental authorization, that requirement applies.

Tam: Claim Your Turf ("Tam", "we", "us", or "our") provides the service. Legal and support questions can be sent to support@runwithtam.app.

Your account

Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may not sell, transfer, share, or automate access to an account, impersonate another person, or create accounts to evade restrictions.

Activities, health imports, and territory

Tam uses GPS, motion, device activity, and optional health-service data to estimate routes, distance, pace, steps, elevation, territory, and other results. These are game and fitness summaries, not surveying, navigation, emergency, medical, or legal advice. GPS, sensors, maps, and background delivery can be inaccurate or unavailable.

You may import completed workouts from Apple Health or Health Connect. Imports depend on the permissions and records those services provide, duplicate detection, activity matching, and Tam's validation rules. Only eligible workouts can receive territory or competitive credit. Activities below the currently published minimum may remain in history without receiving territory or streak credit.

Claims and rewards are subject to route quality, safety, integrity, ownership, and anti-cheat rules. Tam may reject, recalculate, adjust, or remove an activity, route, territory claim, XP, coin balance, badge, personal record, leaderboard result, streak, or other game result that is incomplete, duplicated, implausible, manipulated, generated by a vehicle, or contrary to the rules. You may contact support to appeal a result.

Fair play and acceptable use

Do not falsify location or health data, use GPS-spoofing or automation, record the same activity from multiple devices or accounts for duplicate credit, use a vehicle for an ineligible movement mode, interfere with validation, exploit bugs, scrape the service, probe security, overload systems, or help someone bypass these Terms. Tell us about serious security or integrity issues instead of exploiting them.

Do not harass, threaten, deceive, stalk, trespass, publish unlawful or hateful content, expose another person's private location, infringe intellectual property, or use Tam for illegal conduct. We may investigate, limit visibility, remove content or results, and restrict accounts to protect users and fair play.

Activity privacy and social content

You choose the audience and map visibility for supported activities. Show map on feed is an activity-level control and is off by default for new activities. A non-geographic route silhouette may still appear when the map is off. Start, end, and home-cloak settings are designed to reduce location exposure, but no privacy feature can guarantee that viewers will be unable to infer a place from your content or activity pattern.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give Tam a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, moderate, and show that content only as needed to operate and promote the features you choose to use. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for backups, legal retention, and copies others made outside Tam.

You are responsible for captions, images, comments, profile details, and other content you publish. Only upload content you have the right to use. Tam may remove or restrict content, investigate reports, and suspend accounts that violate these Terms or create risk.

Tam Pro subscriptions

Tam Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered through Apple's App Store and Google Play. The price, billing period, trial or introductory offer, and included features shown by the store at purchase are the terms of that transaction. Payment is charged to your store account when the purchase is confirmed. Unless you cancel before the renewal deadline shown by your store, the subscription renews automatically and the store charges the then-applicable price.

Manage or cancel through your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting Tam or your Tam account does not itself cancel a store subscription. Restore Purchases can reconnect an eligible purchase to your Tam account. Trials and offers are subject to store eligibility rules. Apple or Google handles payment methods, billing, cancellation, and store refunds under its rules; Tam cannot guarantee a refund or override a store decision.

Subscription features may evolve. If a paid feature is materially changed, we will provide any notice or remedy required by law or store rules. Tam has no cash-value obligation for XP, territory, badges, coins, streaks, or other virtual game items, and they cannot be sold or transferred unless Tam expressly permits it.

Safety and health disclaimer

You are responsible for choosing safe routes, following traffic and property rules, monitoring your surroundings, and deciding whether an activity is appropriate for your health. Do not trespass, use Tam while driving, or rely on Tam for emergency assistance. Zombie Mode and other prompts are motivational game features; stop using them whenever they distract you or conditions become unsafe.

Tam does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified professional before beginning or changing an exercise program, particularly if you have a health condition. Stop and seek appropriate help if you feel unwell.

Our service and intellectual property

Tam and its software, designs, branding, maps styling, game systems, and service content are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service except where law permits.

Third-party services and content, including app stores, health platforms, maps data, authentication, notifications, and subscription services, are governed by their own terms. Their availability and decisions are outside Tam's control.

Monitoring, analytics, and email providers

Tam uses service providers to operate and improve the service. Sentry may process technical information for crash, error, and performance monitoring. PostHog may process pseudonymous product-usage and performance events to help us understand and improve Tam; Tam does not configure these analytics events to include your name or email address. Mailgun may deliver transactional messages such as verification, password-reset, welcome, data-export, and support emails, and may process delivery and bounce information.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies, our agreements with them, and the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. We may change providers when reasonably necessary to operate the service.

Availability and changes

Tam is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not promise uninterrupted service, continuous background recording, perfect GPS or sensor accuracy, complete map coverage, or a particular territory, streak, reward, ranking, or social outcome. We may maintain, change, rebalance, suspend, or retire features and rules.

We may update these Terms. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using Tam and request account deletion.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Tam and request account deletion at any time. We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access, remove content, or reverse game results when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, fair play, or a breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limits, continue to apply.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Tam disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Tam is not responsible for losses caused by unsafe activity choices, device or provider failures, inaccurate sensor or map data, user content, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Notifications and communications

Tam may send account, security, service, activity, social, club, territory, subscription, and support notifications through the app, push notifications, or email. This can include verification codes, password-reset messages, welcome messages, data-export notices, and support replies. You can manage optional notification categories in Tam and control push delivery through your device settings. Essential messages, such as security notices, account changes, service updates, and transaction communications, may still be sent when optional notifications are disabled.

Promotional or marketing communications are optional and may be turned off using the preference or unsubscribe control included with the message. Notification delivery depends on your device, network, email provider, and third-party delivery services such as Mailgun, so Tam does not guarantee that every notification will arrive immediately or at all.
