Set audience, map visibility, and location hiding before publishing.
Audience and map visibility affect public display without changing private metrics. These controls answer different privacy questions, so changing the audience does not automatically reveal or hide the route. Review both settings before publishing an activity.
What to do
- Review Audience before saving.
- Leave Show map on feed off unless you want a geographic map.
- Use endpoint hiding and home privacy for sensitive routes.
