Battery restrictions and background recording

Battery saver, Low Power Mode, restricted background activity, and manufacturer task killers can delay location delivery. When the battery is low, the phone may reduce background work, suspend callbacks, or prioritize staying alive over frequent GPS processing, which can create gaps and reduce moving time. Keeping the phone charged during a longer activity, including from a power bank, can reduce low-battery throttling; avoid charging setups that make the phone hot or trap it in an insulated enclosure.
